Mentoring And Why It’s Important

Mentoring And Why It’s Important

Mentoring-Problem-solutionMentoring is important because of the knowledge and skills you can learn from your mentors. Quality mentoring greatly enhances your chances for success.

Mentors act as a guide. They offer advice or information with useful experience, skills, talents, or expertise for your personal development. Having more than one mentor is invaluable. No one person has the gifts, talents, time or ability to be able to advise about every single aspect of your life.

We like to think about having a mentor in this way, “You can do things your way and muddle along and find yourself working more in your business rather than on it.” The right mentors will help you recognize behavior that is holding you back. They look at the whole picture and your long-term growth. They aren’t being critical. It’s to make your life easier and reach your potential with leading and managing yourself and a business.

There is no charge for the mentoring program. It is open to high school girls between the ages of 14 and 18. Because the sessions are hosted on Zoom, participants will be able to connect with their mentors and peers globally.

Suggested topics are: the importance of leadership and teamwork as it relates to success, challenges you face in being part of a team, and traits that make a good leader. You may have ideas on communication skills, the best way to use social media, or what branding means to you personally and for your business or success in life.

Email your topic ideas to info@girlsceoconnection.com. Sessions will be between 45 minutes.

Gabbie is a 19-year-old social media creator and entrepreneur from Windsor, Colorado, who is using her creative passions for photography, videography, writing, and digital design to uplift others. At 16, she wanted to keep busy during the Pandemic, so she started posting her content and writing on social media. This side hobby became Gracefully Gabbie, and she has been absolutely blessed with the opportunity to be working with brands like QDOBA, Zulily, and more to help promote their products. Gracefully Gabbie has a branch called Lucky Reads, which is a bookstagram where she writes book reviews and works with authors to help share their books with more readers.

About a year into working in the social media field, Gabbie opened a sticker business named Gracefully Gabbie’s Gifts (Now GabbiesGracefulGifts on Etsy). She has had her stickers featured in her Windsor Lake Coffee, and is working on expanding to bookmarks soon.
