Eleni Sofroniou Illustrator Extraordinaire
Eleni Sofroniou is the illustrator for the Female Entrepreneurship Association (FEA) in Cheshire United Kingdom. It’s an international association for women entrepreneurs that I joined a few years ago. Eleni’s illustrations have impressed me since I first saw them. The FEA founder Carrie Green was happy to tell me how to reach Eleni. Soon after contacting Eleni we met on SKYPE to learn more about her work and living in London. That’s how we met. I was sold on Eleni as the illustrator of the book, Realizing A Vision, Your Toolkit For Success. Showing her work and website to the Girls’ C.E.O. Connection teen editorial board was the next step. They agreed with me. Between networking and the nod of approval from our Teen Editorial Board Eleni became the illustrator for the book.
About Eleni and Fall Into London
Eleni was born in London, England and finds it an inspiration and a fantastic city to live and work. Thus the company name Fall Into London. Whenever I think of the name I want to say Fall In Love With London.
Eleni started sketching around the age of eight years old. She even sketched her own own fashion collection. Her 101 Dalmatians back pack became home for those sketches and they went everywhere with her. Like so many young people she used her art to create a special world through her imagination. Art remained with her until her university years. She admits her decision to study interior architecture was not a wise move. Her talent and love was with fashion illustration. While Eleni did end up with a career as a fashion illustrator, her university experience would have been totally different.
Today Eleni creates illustrations using watercolor and ink. Through her website and Instagram account you see the inspiration from her love of fashion, travel, spring and so much more. They will make you smile. And you may be able to buy a print.
Her work includes projects creating illustrations, graphic design, branding and website design. Her clients include Boodles, Clarins, Kate Spade New York, Harrods, Aspinal of London and the Female Entrepreneurship Association well as independent businesses, bloggers, writers, fashion designers and boutiques. One of her favorite things to do is live illustration events. These can be in retail stores, for private events, PR agencies and even on Instagram.
Instagram Live Events
These can be on her Instagram or on IGTV. The Instagram Live is every 15th of the month. Both are filled with fans, friends, and aspiring fashion illustrators. Her main piece of advice to all those who are in IGTF and Instagram Live workshops is “art is one of the many the paths that can lead us to that secret place where all our magic is held. To get there, you need to be fully present in the Now, by giving your thinking mind a break, so that you can just be. This will shift you from just ‘doing art’ to ‘creating art’ from a different place, which is abundant with awareness and intuition.”
