 MANIC PANIC® Sponsors Girls’ C.E.O. Connection™

 MANIC PANIC® N.Y.C. New Sponsor of Girls’ C.E.O. Connection™

Tish and Snooky are a perfect example of female entrepreneurs who took their passion and over 40 years built a global business.  They each had $250 to open a small business and chose New York City’s infamous St. Mark’s Place.  MANIC PANIC® became America’s first punk style shop and a symbol of first-generation punk. Generation Z high school girls will relate to them because they continue to be authentic and true to themselves.

Tish & Snooky’s® MANIC PANIC® NYC began on 7/7/77 when the two New York City born sisters, added a little extra ambition to their rock n ‘roll lifestyle.  Tish and Snooky were backup singers in Debbie Harry’s original punk group Blondie.  Aside from opening the first punk boutique, they went on to start the world’s first alternative beauty brand.

The original MANIC PANIC® boutique was located on St. Mark’s Place in the East Village of New York City and specifically catered to the punk rock and alternative crowd. It became a symbol of first-generation punk. People from around the world visited MANIC PANIC®.  However, they wanted to do more than shop. It became the place to see and be seen.

“The Martha Stewarts of Punk”

The wild MANIC PANIC® hair dyes were in every color of the rainbow along with identical colors for lips, nails, and eyes The products were 100% vegan and cruelty-free. The popularity of the colors soared in the late ’80s, and they needed to distribute products from the boutique. In the ‘90s MANIC PANIC® exploded in the magazines, on television, and in major motion pictures.

Through MANIC PANIC’s® decades of evolution, it has become the internationally renowned hair color and cosmetics company it is today. Tish & Snooky continue to deliver their rock ‘n roll lifestyle to the world through their iconic brand. Their legendary hair color has helped celebrities stand out in the headlines. This includes Cyndi Lauper, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Kylie Jenner, and Kim Kardashian.

About Tish

Co-owner and co-founder of Tish & Snooky’s® MANIC PANIC® NYC Tish Bellomo also attended New York City’s High School of Music and Art.  After graduation, she studied fashion design.

Tish helped set the tone for both punk music and fashion. Celebrities like Cher and Debbie Harry were loyal customers and often bought her designs at the store.  She also designed and refurbished stagewear for entertainers like Dr. John, The Dead Boys, and Kate Pierson of the B-52s. Now 40 Years Later

The duo can be found singing in nightclubs throughout the United States, Canada, and the UK to fundraise for various charities. On top of their own charity work, 15 percent of the company’s annual profits go to various charities. Most of all, Tish and Snooky continue to spread their brand of radical glamour® throughout the galaxy!!

    Hi Latonya,
It sounds like you misunderstood the blog post or our ambassadors. The post is about Tish and Snooky as a sponsor for Girls’ C.E.O. Connection™. We don’t sell products for our sponsors. The ambassadors are high school and college girls who help promote GCEO in their schools, give us advice on activities, write blog posts.

I suggest you contact Manic Panic in New York if you can do something for the company.

All the best and Merry Christmas,
    Sylvia Scott
    Founder, Girls’ C.E.O. Connection™
